ADAC and AmericasMart Team up to Sponsor Atlanta Magazine’s Georgia Design Awards (GDA)

The Premiere Atlanta Design Hubs are Proud to Join Together for the Introductory Year of the GDA

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ATLANTA: ADAC and AmericasMart Atlanta, International Market Centers’ (IMC) dual-venue design destination in Atlanta, are expanding their influences in the design community, both in Atlanta and across the Southeast, by jointly sponsoring the first year of the Georgia Design Awards, introduced by Atlanta Magazine’s HOME and Atlanta Magazine. Together, the Atlanta powerhouses hope to bring amazing work to light across the state.

“The creativity of the Georgia design community provides constant inspiration for the IMC Team,” said Bob Maricich, IMC CEO. “Through our design centers in Atlanta – ADAC and AmericasMart – we have the opportunity to interact with its talented designers and suppliers as they push the boundaries of great design. We are honored to partner with Atlanta Magazine to recognize these trendsetters and tastemakers.”

The Georgia Design Awards aim to spotlight the best work and talent across Georgia in the areas of architecture, interior design, homebuilding, remodeling, and landscape design – both residential and commercial in all categories. All submitted applicants are based in Georgia and projects range from a one-bedroom or product installation to an entire space or home.

ADAC and AmericasMart are a natural fit to sponsor the work and involvement of both trade and consumers across all segments of the design community. AmericasMart presents 300+ home décor showrooms at its semi-annual Atlanta Market, along with 130+ showrooms open between markets for designers. ADAC, a community-focused interior design resource, is a one-stop shopping experience, open to both public and trade and featuring over 65 showrooms and more than 25 design offices. The venues are collaborating for the fourth consecutive year to create the Southeast’s premier dual-venue design destination, Sept. 19-22 with two design-focused markets: Fall Market at AmericasMart, Sept. 19-21, and DISCOVER ADAC at ADAC, Sept. 20-22.

“We’re thrilled to partner with Atlanta Magazine and AmericasMart to recognize the best talent in the design industry in the state of Georgia,” said Katie Miner, General Manager of the Atlanta Decorative Arts Center (ADAC). “To be involved with the Georgia Design Awards – and to do it alongside AmericasMart – in the award’s inaugural year is an honor.”

Submissions have recently wrapped, and all entries will be judged by an independent panel of judges from outside of Georgia. Winners will be announced at a Black-Tie Gala in December and will be featured in the winter edition of Atlanta Magazine’s HOME.

Interviews are available upon request. For more information on the Georgia Design Awards, visit here.
