Atlanta Market Set to Welcome Nation’s Top Buyers to Winter 2022 Market

ATLANTA – Atlanta Market is primed and ready to welcome the nation’s gift and home décor buying power to an energized marketplace with 200+ new and expanded exhibitors among its 2000+ permanent showroom and temporary exhibits bolstered by engaging programming and industry events at its January 11-18, 2022 staging.

Brands are introducing new, trendsetting product and the nation’s most influential buyers are committed to Atlanta Market.”

Exhibitor Updates Expand Resources

Atlanta Market continues to refine its product offerings with new commitments in showrooms and temporaries further expanding some 8,000+ lines presented in 1,000+ permanent showrooms and 1,000+ temporary exhibits. 

In Home, completion of the multi-year Atlanta NEXT strategic repositioning of Atlanta Market’s 300+ home décor resources on seven floors is augmented by some 20 new and expanded accessories, textiles, wall art and lighting brands for the Winter 2022 market. Joining the previously announced relocations is Tamarian (area rugs) which will be open for market and year-round. 

Atlanta Market’s unmatched Gift resources continue to grow with 43 new and expanded brands and sales agencies among its 700+ showrooms presenting general gift plus specialty categories gourmet/housewares, tabletop, outdoor living / garden gift, seasonal, children’s and more on 19 floors. New-to-Atlanta offerings continue to grow with two additional new showrooms: LnR Wholesale Furniture (home décor) and Sunset Vista (gift, garden and home décor). Additionally, Magenta (ceramic drinkware, dinnerware, serveware and bakeware) reopens after a hiatus.

Atlanta Market presents the most comprehensive temporary exhibits of the Winter 2022 market season with some 3,000+ gift and home décor lines – including those from nearly 150 new exhibitors – in 33 temporary neighborhoods presented in 10 exhibit halls across three buildings.  Doubling of resources since the last presentation has inspired the return of Gourmet, Gourmet LUXE, HIGH DESIGN, HIGH DESIGN LUXE, Housewares, Tabletop & Entertaining and Tabletop LUXE to their historic locations to allow for category growth. Additionally, Winter 2022 marks the return of trade organization pavilions with presentations by Fair Trade Federation, Georgia Grown, Gourmet Catalog, Museum Store Association and Scottish Development International.

At-Market Events Return

Atlanta Market’s signature education and events return for Winter 2022 with eight interactive cooking demonstrations and seminars.

The Jura Demonstration Kitchen returns to a full schedule for Winter 2022. Legendary Atlanta chef and author Deborah VanTrece joins the previously announced lineup with “A Take on a Southern Staple: Biscuits and Gravy” on Friday, January 14 at 2 p.m. Also in the kitchen are Chef Mary Ann Esposito of Ciao Italia with “In the Kitchen with Mary Ann Esposito” presented by Gourmet Business and two Atlanta-based chefs Palak Patel, owner of Dash & Chutney in “Go Beyond: A Twist on Street Food from South Asia” and Nick Leahy, founder of The Usual in Atlanta, in “Wintertime Comfort Food: Rye Gnocchi with Spiced Braised Short Rib.” Additionally, Gourmet Catalog hosts a meet and greet for members and all market attendees on January 12 at 5:30 p.m.

Business seminar programming is highlighted by the East Coast edition of IMC’s proprietary Ahead of the Curve featuring four designers in conversation about emerging design trends and new product inspirations with Luxe Interiors + Design's Southeast Homes Editor Kate Abney. Other programming includes “Bringing Your Business Digital – It’s Easier Than You Think” presented by the new JuniperMarket plus two social media workshops: “Five Smartphone Photo Tips to Elevate Your Brand” and “Five Methods to Grow Your Instagram Following.”

JuniperMarket celebrates its recent launch with events and at-market experiences. The “Market Kickoff Party Hosted by JuniperMarket” is at 5 p.m. on January 12 in the Building 3, Floor 2 atrium with daily “Afternoon Beats” happy hours sponsored by the B2B wholesale marketplace in the atrium January 13-15. Additionally, JuniperMarket presents Experience Centers with swag and photo-ops in all three buildings. JuniperCommerce showrooms also are available for brands looking to join the platform or to learn more about Juniper’s full suite of SaaS tools.

Additional in-person experiences and at-market installations include a vignette of Market Snapshot finalists in Building 1, Floor 1; and Instagrammable moments throughout Buildings 1, 2 and 3.

Buying Groups Active at Atlanta Market

Atlanta Market will host programming for 11 buying groups and trade associations in Winter 2022. Vendor forums include HTI Buying Group hosting its first event plus Hallmark Gold Crown, MAI Retailers, Palmer Marketing and Southwest Buying Group. Additionally, Museum Store Association (MSA) will host a national board meeting, Palmer Marketing will host a selection committee meeting and Parable Group will host a member meeting.
